In exchange, we offer many beautiful gardens, sitting rooms, the highest rooftop lookout deck overseeing the Atlantic Ocean, original sculptures and fountains all within our historic museum hotel, which I personally invite you to enjoy.Established by Larry Gagosian in Los Angeles in 1980, Gagosian is a global gallery specializing in modern and contemporary art that employs more than three hundred people at nineteen exhibition spaces across the United States, Europe, and Asia. We have sacrificed elevators, large closets, high ceilings and other usual luxuries as expected in modern hotels. I wish also that our guests know that we are considered one of the most truly authentic restorations in Old San Juan in keeping with true preservation of history in this 18th century architecture. I am happy to share that your dollars are supporting this music organization. This hotel is also the home of The Steinway Society of Puerto Rico. Our Inn is about the arts and especially music, supporting the many young musicians that come to both practice and perform on our six Steinway pianos. Many of these paintings are hung exactly where they were painted. As such, there are no TVs in our rooms, instead many books and more than 150 original paintings grace our walls throughout the hotel. The six 18th Century Villas that comprise the Gallery Inn, include the ancient living quarters of the artillery captain for El Morro Fortress. In fact, we have been designated a National Historic Landmark by the US Department of the Interior. We are a place of history, art, and music, not just a regular hotel. As artist and creator of the Gallery Inn, I, Jan D’Esopo, welcome you, my valued guests to a different experience.
